In the same way that Gaston in Disney’s “Beauty And The Beast” used antlers in all his decorating, Mike uses guitars. At least in the room where his wife Page has allowed him to put his stuff.
After stepping out into a mission to record arrangements of his own songs, he began to accumulate all the musical equipment and pro-audio equipment needed to lay down tracks of acoustic guitar, electric (lead) guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboards, and vocals to create classic rock-n-roll, blues, and folk sounds. He got a little carried away with his instrument of preference; guitar, and accumulated an inventory of fine newer instruments, as well as some vintage pieces.
Inspired from decades of studying album covers while listening to his favorite recording artists, The Beatles, The Allman Brothers, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, The Eagles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, Grand Funk Railroad, Derek and the Dominoes, The Blues Brothers, and many others, he coveted the instruments he saw them playing. Mainly Gibson and Fender brands, but was later turned on to Taylor acoustic guitars.
The photos on this page depict Mikes collection of guitars, amplifiers, keyboards, and drums.
